Discovery and Exploration

The Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston (IHCH) is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization, founded in 1965 by a group of Spaniards living in Houston interested in preserving, enhancing and promulgating the Hispanic culture and language inherited from Spain and Latin America.

The IHCH presents several events per year, the most well-known of which is the “Noche de las Américas” Gala. This Gala held in October, commemorates the creation of the Hispanic world through Columbus’ arrival in the new world. The proceeds from the gala are used to fund activities of the institute, including its cultural programs and scholarships.

This year the 51st “Noche de las Américas” Gala, is celebrating Discovery and Exploration and includes the traditional March of Padrinos carrying Latin American and Spanish flags. The March of Padrinos demonstrates the breadth and diversity of the Hispanic world. Sponsors and underwriters for the Gala are given the honor of filing in the flags which are then prominently displayed throughout the duration of the Gala.
Please, consider to attend the 51st “Noche de las Américas Gala”.
